Rincon de la Vieja  Hike

Rincon De La Vieja National Park, located on the southwestern flank of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano consists of 50 hectares of bubbling mud volcanoes, boiling thermal waters, vapor geysers, and the so-called Hornillas (Ovens) geyser of sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide. The mud has minerals and medicinal properties used in cosmetology.

From here, it will take just a 45 minute ride to reach the majestic Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. This volcano, and its dormant sister cone, Santa Maria, as well as the older dormant Cerro Von Seebach.

The refreshing spray of mineral water from the streaming cascades will cool your face… their majestic beauty will calm your spirit and free your mind.

 The Guanacaste Mountain Range is a low elevation mountainous system that presents depressions which allow air currents to flow easily from the Caribbean side over to the Pacific side.
​This Walk is right below one of this passes and benefits from its strategic location like Finca verde offering an extensive variety of bird species with both Pacific and Caribbean influence like  butterflies, sloths and green frogs.

Relax Enjoy the Beach and Nature

 

This national park is considered one of the most beautiful in the country.

The combination of a paradisiacal beach with crystal clear waters and coral banks, bordered by lush vegetation and the natural charms of the humid tropical forest. Its beaches are among the best in the country.

Our tour begins in the morning leaving the province of Guanacaste using the main road that connects Liberia with the coastal zone. Once we go to the humid tropical forest we will stop to have a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast .

On our trip to the park we will enjoying beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean, Carara national park, multiple birds such as toucans and scarlet macaws among other birds of the area, African palm plantations and picturesque towns along the Pacific coast until you reach the Port of Quepos 

Initially we will make a hike in the wed forest through a natural path of the national park to the beach, where you can take a bath, or take a tour of the trails, which will allow us to observe  in Particularly several species of monkeys, raccoons, iguanas, birds, and sloths also.

After having enjoyed the national park we will go to the restaurant where a delicious lunch awaits us before taking the way back to the hotel.
